We did enjoy the apartment very much. It was more than we expected as we have stayed at another residence last year and there were insufficient hangers and really thin, cheap towels. Fremont Place was exceptional in those departments!!! I would definitely advise people to pay extra for the parking in the back. We were there for Thanksgiving and it was really difficult to find spaces...but as Thanksgiving got closer, more spaces became available. It was very clean when we arrived and when we left it wasn't - but knowing that a cleaning service was coming in was very comforting and eliminated any anxiety about leaving it as we found it.

We plan on coming back during Cubs season.
Our conference was the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA); held at McCormack Place. The conference provides shuttle buses from the major downtown hotels. We took the Red Line to Grand (Hilton Garden Hotel), then jumped on the shuttle bus.
I would tell future guests that even during the baseball off-season, it’s a short walk to the red line and 15 minutes to downtown Chicago. It beats driving into town and worrying about parking or traffic congestion.

We enjoyed our stay at Fremont Place and would recommend it to family and friends. The flat itself was very comfortable, the layout is nice, the large dining room table made morning breakfast and dinners very pleasant. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house, the couch and chairs were super comfy. The newer appliances were nice and we had a great time cooking in. The location of Fremont Place was the main thing for us. We did not take a cab the whole time we were there because so many things, including the L, are within walking distance. One more of our favorite features was being just one block away from Whole Foods.

We all had a great time. The condo was well kept and so cozy and so fairly priced. We had two couples and two children and everyone fit comfortably and had their own beds. And you honestly couldn't ask for a better location. It was so awesome to be able to walk just three blocks to the train and to Wrigley Field. When driving, it was so easy to access Lakeshore Drive and travel to the parks and downtown and the Lake.
In addition, the whole reservation and check in-out process was very easy and the owners were very friendly.

Thanks, Fremont Place, for an excellent stay in Chicago. It didn't take us long to realize that when we travel with friends, apartment stay is the only way to go. Your place was very comfortable, and it's incredibly convenient as it's so close to Wrigley, to the el train, and to Whole Foods. The neighborhood is quiet, so we really enjoyed our mornings sipping coffee in the sun, and we never spent a night battling neighbor noise. We would definitely recommend Fremont Place of Chicago, and we hope someday we'll have the opportunity to stay again.
The reservation process was very easy, and the personal communication was actually very reassuring. Sometimes we make advance reservations and we're never quite sure what we'll find when we finally arrive. The instructions were clear, and we had no trouble at all. Likewise, checkout was just as easy. We appreciated that it was furnished so that we could eat some meals in.

Freemont Place was outstanding! Its easy to find, easy to get to, and well-appointed. A block from Wrigley Field and the Red Line makes it ideal for a weekend stay in Chicago. Check-in and Check-out were seamless and easy. We will definitely consider staying again!

We had an awesome time in Chicago over the weekend and truly will be contacting you when we return. We knew the apartment was close to Wrigley but when just walking down the block before checking in (we were 30 min early)…all of a sudden we hear, “Now batting, number…”. My brother and I looked at each other and said, “That’s Wrigley!!!” So we went, had a pint, got two bleacher seats, and watched the last half of the game. Perfect. The apartment was well kept, very clean, and close to stores and restaurants…yet still on a quiet street.

I stayed with my family at Fremont Place in order to take in two games on successive nights at Wrigley Field. You really couldn't find anywhere more convenient for that purpose, and the apartment made a superb base for exploring the City more widely. I would certainly use it again, and wished we'd booked a longer stay.

I do not have any criticisms to make. Fremont Place was a wonderful place to stay in Chicago. The location is hard to beat, with its proximity to the Lake, to Wrigley and to the El. And it was so much more homey than a hotel. The access to Lincoln Park and the Lake was a big plus. My kids were travel-weary and just wanted to hang out in the apartment. But I walked all over the North Side and really enjoyed it. *I learn more about Chicago every time I go there. [I grew up in Chicagoland, but left in 1969.]

We stayed at the Fremont Place of Chicago in August 2009. It was awesome...very, very nice accommodations, and Karen was more than helpful. We had two great bedrooms and bathrooms. Very nice kitchen so you could cook (with all the pots, pans and utensils) and stay in if you wish. We were within walking distance of Wrigley Field, so we could leave our vehicle parked and walk to and from. (saved on parking) We had a great time there and hope to get back soon. Would definitely stay here again!! GO CUBS GO...

We are finally able to slow down after our recent trip to Chicago so that can e-mail you both. (We are watching the Cubs & Reds right now)
We are so lucky to have found your apartment for our July Concert trip to see Rascal Flatts and Billy Joel/Elton John. With only a two block walk to Wrigley Field and not having to fight the crowds was wonderful.
The apartment is in a lovely neighborhood, one that we would live in if we were in Chicago! It felt like home being able to "stretch" out in the living room or go to the kitchen to grab a bite. With your attention to detail made this couple just want to stay. The kitchen was so well equipped that I could have cooked a 4 course meal. The furnishings were cozy and quiet comfortable. It sure beats a hotel room anytime.
Thanks for the recommendations for dining you provided in the Welcome Pack. We tried several and they were great. All the info you provided in the packet was very useful.
We look forward to returning to Chicago in September and staying at Fremont Place. Chicago and Fremont Place, what a great combination!

For any large group looking to head out to Chicago to catch a game at Wrigley Field I can't think of a better place to stay then Fremont Place. We put 12 people in two units and it was a perfect setup for our group. The apartments have adequate size bedrooms, two very nice bathrooms, and a very spacious kitchen/common area. The kitchen has all the modern appliances and the place is fully stocked with everything you need from toiletries to towels to plates, dishes, and utensils. But the best part is the location, just two short blocks from Wrigley on a classic Chicago block of brick houses. We had a great time during our stay and would recommend it highly.

Jamie and Karen great location clean and well furnished apt. Everything a person could need was nearby. As mentioned by others the check in/check out process was a breeze. We will recommend this location to any of friends traveling to Chicago. If you are attending a Cubs game I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. An easy walk to the game and an easy walk home after visiting the local establishments.

A group of 12 of us rented the top 2 units at the Freemont Place, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions ever! We decided to stay at the Freemont, instead of staying in the "same 'ol" hotels downtown.....and we couldn't have been more happy!! We felt as if we were tucked away in a quite neighborhood, but yet we were only 2 very short blocks from Wrigley Field and all the nightlife around it (which we took advantage of for 3 nights). So, you couldn't ask for a better area of Chicago to spend the weekend around. And as for the units themselves, they were beautiful! Everything was extremely clean, new and updated, and best of all they were very spacious for all of us to gather and sleep in. The people who own these units were very easy and pleasant to work with as well, which made the check in/out process very smooth. I have already raved to all my friends about staying here, and have already discussed setting up a group gathering for another weekend at the Freemont Place sometime soon. We just loved this place! It was very clean, more than enough space and a well fitted kitchen and badthroom! Within a 10 minutes walking distance you have everything you need! From good restaurants, nice bars, the lake, the cubs stadium, ect.... we can highly recommend to stay at this place!

I found the apartment, clean, inviting, warm and it felt just like home! Staying in Chicago for such a long period of time (1 month) I found having an apartment with closets, cooking facilities and such made all the difference in the world to making my stay a comfortable one. Fremont Place was a nice change of pace from the regular merry-go-round of overpriced and impersonal hotel vacation stays. We were six Canadian sports fans who came down to Chicago from Canada to watch some hockey and football games. Fremont Place provided us with clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodations in a upscale area of town, with easy access to public transit. Check-in and check-out instructions were clear and easy to handle. Overall, I think Fremont Place is a worthwhile lodging alternative for families or groups of 4+ travelling to the Windy City.

The accomodations were superb! The apartment was extremely clean and well furnished. They even had complete kitchenware and laundry facilities. . Everything was perfect! the back yard was amazing and we had some really good days sun bathing out there and good nights with the barbeque!! Everything we needed was provided for even toilet paper and washing powder for clothes. The cable telly was deadly! We give it a 10 out of 10 it was the perfect place to stay for students in Chicago working for the Summer! ALso it was walking distance to loads of popular bars and clubs! We would defo recommend Fremont Place to anyone we know coming over to Chi Town next summer!

Karen - thanks again for our stay. We had a great time. Your apartment is perfect for what we were looking for. The location is excellent ... on a quiet street and easy to walk to everything. We were able to save some money by grabbing food at Whole Foods and using your great kitchen to cook-in while we were there. It was very helpful to have the Welcome Packet as well. We enjoyed the Chicago Architecture Foundation boat cruise on the river and the Blue Angels air show ... and several restaurants/bars for cocktails. : )

We had a wonderful time in your wonderful flat in a great location right near to Wrigley. With two adult couples 26 and 13 year old sons here for a night game at Wrigley we were in heaven with the location. And, the huge bonus was how nicely appointed and kept up the flat was. We enjoyed the apartment for a pregame party and after the game were able to just walk home and relax only minutes after leaving Wrigley! In the morning, a quick walk to Whole Foods netted us a great breakfast and a relaxing morning. A great place to stay! Thanks!

Hi there, Glad to hear everything checked out! I must say we enjoyed our stay tremendously. The location of the condo couldn't have been better for our needs. We enjoyed breakfast at local restaurants, used Whole Foods for lunching and a late-night cookie-supply run, took in the night life at the area bars, and I was even able to find a fabulous place within walking distance to get my haircut. Of course, being close to Wrigley was key for us game-goers.
The condo was a great size, well furnished with all our toiletry, sleeping and baking needs. :) Everyone in our group could not stop raving about how much better it was than staying in a hotel where we would have been separated by small, unaccommodating rooms. Being together in a "home-like" setting was perfect for our girls weekend. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

Thanks Karen, we had a great time. The apartment was beautiful, spotless, and comfortable. Everyone in Chicago kept asking "how did you find this place??" (um, google...) I loved that there was a Whole Foods so close, since the kitchen was really great we were able to just buy groceries and cook. The internet was fabulous although if you are a mac user you can't get on right away with the password... instead you have to change the "wireless security" setting from "WEP Password" to "WEP 40/180 bit hex Password" or something like that. We figured this out by trial and error.We will definitely come back next time we're in town.

Fremont Place is a wonderful alternative to a hotel. I planned to visit Chicago with two other childhood friends for a reunion of sorts and staying in a hotel did not really appeal to us. I searched the internet and found a link to Fremont Place. It was exactly what we were looking for. The pictures and information on their web page did not do it justice. It was much nicer in person and in a great area of Chicago. Lots of places to eat and shop and the El is right around the corner. The only negative thing was that the Cubs were not playing at home so we did not see a game at Wrigley Field (which is also right around the corner). The unit we stayed in was nicely furnished and well-equipped. We were very comfortable and having the common living area separate from the bedrooms was perfect for gathering. I highly recommend Fremont Place and have already sung its praises to my family and friends.

The directions to get there on the website were great and your directions to get into the building worked just like they should. Hi Karen and Jamie. We wanted to take a minute to let you know we are so happy to have found Fremont Place. The condo was everything we were looking for. Even though you couldn’t be there to greet us, we had no problems following the instructions for the loc box to retrieve our keys. It was immaculately clean , spacious and comfortable. Since we were there for an extended time, we did bring extra bath towels and soap but that was all we needed. We are familiar with the area and we knew that parking would be difficult so the option of one of your spaces is a huge convenience. Since we were there for our daughters wedding, we had gowns and tuxedos and lots of clothes so that huge front closet was extremely helpful. We had our Westie with us and found a wonderful pet sitter. She was so impressed with the place she asked for your contact info! Filling out everything on line was easy. We will be back because our daughter and son in law live right out your back door . His family has also expressed interest for future family events. You have a very nice place.

Sorry the keys were lost in the shuffle. I thought the apartment was fantastic but we could have used more than 2 sets of keys. With a group of guys it is impossible to plan out a night and there is no telling who will need the keys and where the group will be and no one wants to give up access to apartment, maybe a couple extra sets?

I was very impressed by the way the apartment was stocked with dishes, glassware, silverware, a wine opener & even any other kitchen utensil you could need. The Complimentary coffee & condiments was an added bonus. The beds were very comfortable & the linens fluffy & soft. The proximity to Wrigleyville & the Red line train was better than we could have imagined. This is the way to go if you have a small group of people & for the price you can't beat it. We have just completed a wonderful family reunion in Chicago at your Fremont Place. The venue was wonderful. It was great to have everyone all together in one place. The two, connected, bedrooms in Apt 1 worked perfectly for our son and his 2 small children, who slept in the double bed, while he slept nearby in the day bed. Your apartments are BEAUTIFUL, very tastefully appointed, and we appreciated the extra touches, like the free nationwide calling, the laundry in the basement. You have a very generous amount of dishes and utensils (and we hope that we got them all back in their respective apartments, as we shared meals for all of us, and supplemented those of Apt 3 with the other apartment's utensils). The towels were grand, as were the bathrooms. We made use of the iron and ironing board, and the first aid kit in the closet. TV's were great. This dishwasher worked great, and was a nice convenience to have. The huge picture windows in the front were sparkling clean (don't know how you keep them that clean)!
The furniture was very cushy (more than one of us fell asleep on the comfy couches)! Your informational print in the room was very handy, and we used it extensively during our stay, especially stores locations, and directions, and the taxicab numbers. Having 2 sets of keys to the apartments was useful. We made good use of the internet service provided. Location was terrific. We all walked to the Cubs/Brewers Game on Friday night, and that was a very nice experience for all of us (even the non-baseball fans, like me, Gary).
Karen, especially for your information regarding handicapped access:
The 6-7 steps in the front didn't prove to be much of a hindrance to my wife, especially with the sturdy railing that she was able to use to help pull herself up. And our wheelchair was able to go just about everywhere, with the exception of the bathroom, and that worked out OK, as my wife used her walker that we brought with us to get in there. (I'm very appreciative of your taking those measurements, as I probably would not have brought the walker had I not known ahead of time that the wheelchair would not fit through the bathroom door.)
In conclusion our experience was so favorable that we would enthusiastically recommend your apartments to anyone else, and will consider them for our next family reunion.

Your apartments are BEAUTIFUL, very tastefully appointed, and we appreciated the extra touches, like the free nationwide calling, the laundry in the basement. You have a very generous amount of dishes and utensils (and we hope that we got them all back in their respective apartments, as we shared meals for all of us, and supplemented those of Apt 3 with the other apartment's utensils). The towels were grand, as were the bathrooms. We made use of the iron and ironing board, and the first aid kit in the closet. TV's were great. This dishwasher worked great, and was a nice convenience to have. The huge picture windows in the front were sparkling clean (don't know how you keep them that clean)!
The furniture was very cushy (more than one of us fell asleep on the comfy couches)! Your informational print in the room was very handy, and we used it extensively during our stay, especially stores locations, and directions, and the taxicab numbers. Having 2 sets of keys to the apartments was useful. We made good use of the internet service provided. Location was terrific. We all walked to the Cubs/Brewers Game on Friday night, and that was a very nice experience for all of us (even the non-baseball fans, like me, Gary).
Karen, especially for your information regarding handicapped access:
The 6-7 steps in the front didn't prove to be much of a hindrance to my wife, especially with the sturdy railing that she was able to use to help pull herself up. And our wheelchair was able to go just about everywhere, with the exception of the bathroom, and that worked out OK, as my wife used her walker that we brought with us to get in there. (I'm very appreciative of your taking those measurements, as I probably would not have brought the walker had I not known ahead of time that the wheelchair would not fit through the bathroom door.)
In conclusion our experience was so favorable that we would enthusiastically recommend your apartments to anyone else, and will consider them for our next family reunion.

We had an amazing time at Fremont Place. All of my friends were very impressed, and it made our stay so much more comfortable and enjoyable than if we had stayed in a hotel. Everything was top notch. For a group of fifteen, we could not have done better anywhere else. Perfectly clean, all expectations were met. My only suggestion for improvement is to make credit cards a real and usable option. I would definitely have paid everything via credit card if possible, and since I had to give it to you for security anyway it seemed, from the customer point-of-view, that credit card payment should have been available. That said, I fully understand that a small business owner can lose a bit of profit margin if dealing with credit card processing services, especially when you aren't doing large volume transactions. We will definitely send people your way the next time someone needs to stay in Chicago.

Your web site is very detailed and with the pictures and information that is included, there were no surprises. The entire process was very simple and I appreciated all of the communication before our arrival.
The only minor flaw was the parking situation. That was resolved promptly and caused no real problem. Fortunately, we had the lower floor. Besides my back surgery, I was traveling with two women that probably would not have been able to navigate the steps to the second or third floors. I would be willing to pass along favorable comments to future guests. The location was perfect – walking distance to everything – the red line, Wrigleyville, Boy’s Town. We loved being able to come back in the middle of the day on Saturday and crash for a few hours before heading out to play and shop more! The beds were phenomenal. The living room is so cozy with the daybed, the fantastic couch and the amazing arm chairs. The gas fireplace and the stereo system rounded out the room very nicely. The weather helped too! We ate brunch at the condo on Sunday morning and we had light streaming in from every window and a nice cross-breeze in the dining area. I am so glad to have found Fremont Place. It was perfect for a group of people who don't want to be secluded in separate hotel rooms. And not to mention, beautiful. From gorgeous hardwood floors and a clean, contemporary kitchen to fluffy white towels and bright bathrooms--- our guests loved it. As for other feedback, everything went smooth...correspondence regarding reservations was prompt. The only thing I experienced was the fact that my party's head count kept changing - one would join, one would bail, etc. so having a precise head count was difficult. Everyone loved the place and thought it was prefect... the location, that we were all under one roof, how it looked, that it had two full baths in each unit. It is especially great for groups.
